Vishakha Committee (Sexual Harassment Cell)

The women’s grievance committee was formed in 1994, Later in the year 2023 it is named as Vishakha Committee in compliance with the guidelines on sexual harassment prevention in the workplace, issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in 1997 (Vishakha Judgement). The cell is intended to take utmost care of the grievances of girl students and female employees in the campus.

The basic aim of the Vishakha Committee is to purely safeguard the rights of female students and female staff and to maintain the healthy and safe environment for girls and women employees. Also to create a setting of gender justice in a Co-Ed college where men and women work together with a sense of personal security and dignity.

The new members for the committee for the present academic year 2024-25 are appointed on June 01, 2024. The composition of the committee is as follows:
