Recognizing the aspirations of its students to excel in various competitive examinations, including the Indian Administrative Services, State Level Services, and opportunities in the private sector, N.V.P. Mandal’s Arts, Commerce and Science College, Lasalgaon, established its dedicated Competitive Examination Centre in 2005. Since its inception, the centre has been committed to providing guidance, training, and resources to empower students from the region to successfully navigate these challenging assessments. Understanding the unique needs of students in the local context, the centre strives to create a supportive and effective learning environment that fosters academic excellence and builds confidence for a competitive future.
Objectives
The objectives of the Competitive Examination Centre at N.V.P. Mandal’s Arts, Commerce and Science College, Lasalgaon, are:
- To generate awareness among the students of Lasalgaon and surrounding areas regarding the opportunities available through UPSC, MPSC, and other competitive examinations.
- To cultivate a strong interest in these examinations and provide focused, relevant training tailored to the specific requirements of each.
- To empower students with the necessary skills and knowledge, fostering self-assurance through continuous guidance, mentorship, and exposure to a competitive learning environment.
- To develop and maintain essential infrastructure and utilize effective training methodologies to facilitate the achievement of students’ goals in competitive examinations.

- Separate Building: A dedicated building exclusively for the Competitive Examination Centre, ensuring a focused and supportive atmosphere.
- Specialized Library: A dedicated library “Book Cell” housing a collection of 1724 books specifically curated for competitive exam preparation.
- Seminar Hall: A spacious seminar hall with a capacity of 600, ideal for conducting lectures, workshops, and training programs.
- Smart Classrooms: Separate classrooms equipped with Smart Boards and free Wi-Fi connectivity, offering a modern learning experience for up to 68 students.
- Reading Hall: A well-equipped reading hall with a substantial capacity of 256 students, providing a quiet and focused study space.
- Computer Space: A computer space with 13 computers offering internet access, crucial for online research and practice.
- Holistic Well-being: Dedicated Yoga and Meditation Centre to promote mental well-being and focus.
Physical Fitness: A spacious playground available for physical training, recognizing the importance of physical health in overall preparedness.
